Thanksgiving...

Just some shots from the Thanksgiving weekend...

In case you did hot hear, our Thanksgiving weekend was extended by a couple of days in Saline, MI. I took Katie to the ER on Saturday night with stomach cramping...the extreme kind. To make the story short and sweet, on Sunday morning she had her appendix removed. She was discharged Monday around noon, and we will be going back to Ft. Wayne some time Tuesday afternoon as long as everything goes well. So far recovery is going fine and the grandparents are enjoying extra Sophi time.

Halloween...she wasn't quite sure what to make of the costume...she was a cute giraffe anyway and probaby would have netted daddy loads of candy if he took her out.

Here is a pic of the little Chubber. At the doctor's on Thursday, she weighed in at 18 pounds...not too bad for 4 1/2 months. She is getting over an infection in her left ear - the doc gave her some meds and she is back to her smiley, giggly self. (Two nights in a row of screaming baby IS a bit much). She is doing a LOT of laughing out loud, which is tons of fun!

Katie and I have been busy at school as well - this past week I had two concerts (ChorFest and Beginning Band), with an school sponsored service day on Saturday, and two choirs singing at two different churches on Sunday...needless to say, we are both ready for T-giving break...up in Michigan. Yes, the grandparents would not have it any other way.
